My name is Sam and I have been a “PHPer” since its early inception into the web, the late 90′s. I had been struggling attempting to figure out why it was so difficult to write simple programs for the web. I had been using PERL and other older languages that just weren’t designed to handle such designs. CGIs were the way “every one else” was doing it, so I felt the need to leap of the same bridge the same way. Then in the summer of ’98 I saw a bight light hit the web… the sound of PHP 3.0 was buzzing around the net. I, as many others, felt it was time to give the challenge to the new kid and I began slowly seeing what the new kid could do. I was amazed at how simple it was to interact with the client side of the process. Since then I have soaked up anything and everything I could get my hands on and have been loving it.
